Update: Woman’s body found in south Provo identified; no foul play suspected

PROVO, Utah, Feb. 13, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — The body of a woman found Tuesday morning near train tracks in south Provo has been identified.

According to Provo Police Department Lt. Brandon Post, the dead woman, Elisabeth Blanco, 38 and a Provo resident, was found in the area of 1600 S. State St.

“A citizen watching wildlife in a field found a body and notified police at 9:14 a.m.,” a Facebook post from police said. It appeared the individual had been there for some time, the post said.

Post said there is no official cause of death at this time, but nothing about the death indicates foul play or suspicious circumstances.

The Utah Office of the Medical Examiner is working to determine a cause of death.
