Burn victim transported to hospital after house fire in Salt Lake City

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, Jan. 12, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — A residential fire Thursday afternoon in Salt Lake City was contained quickly by firefighters, but sent a resident to the hospital for treatment of burns.

The Salt Lake City Fire Department tweeted after 2 p.m. that engines were responding to the fire, at 2286 S. Green St.

Subsequent information released stated that the fire was contained within five minutes of engines’ arrival and had been limited to the main floor.

One resident suffered burns of undisclosed severity and was transported to the University of Utah Hospital in stable condition.

The cause of the fire has not yet been determined. Gephardt Daily will have more information on the case as it becomes available.
