1 dead after crash on Redwood Road at Camp Williams

SARATOGA SPRINGS, Utah, Dec. 7, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — One person is dead after a crash on Redwood Road at Camp Williams Thursday morning.

The accident occurred just south of the entrance to Camp Williams, at 17800 S. 1700 West, just before 8 a.m., according to Saratoga Springs Police officials.

An SUV and a car traveling in opposite directions collided head-on after one crossed into oncoming traffic.

One person was killed and the driver of the other vehicle was transported by ground ambulance to an area hospital in fair condition. It wasn’t immediately clear which vehicle the deceased person was traveling in.

Northbound Redwood Road was closed after the crash and Saratoga Springs officials asked people to avoid the area. The northbound lanes of travel at 2100 North in Lehi were also closed, with heavy delays. The roads were reopened by 11 a.m.
