Logan police seek help identifying car burglary suspect

LOGAN, Utah, March 15, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — Logan Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a suspect who was captured on surveillance video breaking into a car in the area of Crayon Court.

The incident occurred on Friday, March 9, at approximately 3:30 a.m., Logan Police said in a news release on Facebook. Crayon Court is at 720 S. 850 West.

Logan Police said the man appears to be the same one who was breaking into cars in Nibley last month.

The police department said on Facebook at that time that over a period of several weeks, the man had been committing vehicle burglaries in the area of 2700 South and 900 West in Nibley.

“He has put bleach in the fuel tanks of parked vehicles and slashed tires in this area,” the news release said. The man has also been seen in the Logan area near 900 North and 500 West. He’s committing these crimes between 3 a.m. and 5:30 a.m.”

In the incidents in Nibley, the suspect was seen riding a bicycle.

In both the Logan and Nibley incidents, the man is seen in video and photos wearing light colored pants, jacket and beanie, and appears to have a scarf wrapped around his head.
