LAYTON, Utah, Sept. 9, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — A teenage driver returning from work on Saturday ran his vehicle into the home of an elderly Layton couple.

The driver, an 18-year-old man, was uninjured in the crash, according to Layton City Police Sgt. Todd Derrick.

The residents of the home, at 564 N. Fort Lane, also were uninjured except for a tiny cut to the forehead of the man, Derrick said. “The couple had been in the room next to the impact.”

“For the type of accident this was, they got very lucky,” Derrick said.
