SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, March 22, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — A woman and her dog escaped without serious injury after her car landed in roadway construction hole early Friday morning in Salt Lake City.

The woman was driving in the area of 2100 South and 1600 West, just east of Redwood Road, when a wrong turn landed her car in a hole created as part of a roadway repair. Orange barrels surrounded the site.

The car dropped several inches, and was stopped when the car’s front end impacted the far end of the prepared hole.

Salt Lake City Fire Department Chief Adam Archuleta confirmed to Gephardt Daily that the patient was transported to Jordan Valley West Medical Center, in alpha condition, a status used when any injuries are minor.
