Car-moped crash leaves 1 in fair condition

TAYLORSVILLE, Utah, Oct. 14, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — One person was transported to the hospital Friday morning after a crash involving a car and a moped in Taylorsville.

The Unified Police Department tweeted that the crash occurred at about 10 a.m. at 4530 S. Atherton Drive (1100 West).

The driver of the moped, a 22-year-old male, was initially in serious condition, but has since been upgraded to fair condition. The car involved in the crash was a white Honda Civic, but there is no information on the driver’s condition.

The circumstances surrounding the crash were not immediately available.

Southbound Atherton Drive is blocked while officials investigate the crash.
