Carjackers assault woman in West Valley City

WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah, Nov. 5, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — A West Valley City woman had a harrowing experience early Saturday morning when she was accosted by four individuals who hit her in the head and stole her car.

The incident happened at about 4 a.m. in the area of 4600 West and 4000 South.

West Valley City Police Lt. Steve Katz said the woman reported that she walked out of her residence and was approached by four males who demanded her vehicle.

According to the report, the four made comments that they were going to put the woman into the trunk of the car. Instead, they hit her in the head and left her there while they drove off in her vehicle.

Katz said the woman had scrapes and cuts on her head but didn’t require medical treatment.

The suspects were described as being in their late teens, possibly early 20s. One was wearing a blue sweater, and one was wearing an orange sweater.

The stolen vehicle is a gray, 2006 Nissan Altima.
