Police seek suspect after Salt Lake City carjacking

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, Jan. 24, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — Police are looking for a suspect after a carjacking in Salt Lake City on Monday afternoon.

A man was sitting inside his vehicle at 1557 W. 200 South at approximately 1:40 p.m. when another man pointed a handgun at the victim from outside and gestured for him to get out of the vehicle, the Salt Lake City Police Department said in a news release.

The victim complied and the suspect drove off with the vehicle, a gold Lincoln four-door sedan, police said.

The suspect is described by police as a man with one teardrop tattoo next to his left eye and two next to his right eye, wearing a gray, hooded sweatshirt. A red bandana covered most of his face.
