CEDAR CITY, Utah, Dec. 20, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — Crews were called Monday evening to a fire at a Cedar City business that sells and repairs outdoor equipment.

Police were dispatched to D&P Performance, at 110 E. Center St., at approximately 7:05 p.m. on a report of a structure fire, the Cedar City Police Department said in a news release.

The business was closed and no one was in the garage when the fire started. Nobody, including fire personnel, was injured.

The flames quickly consumed the garage, including the roof and all of its service bays. Equipment inside was also damaged.

“The damage is pretty extensive in the bays where they service and maintain the vehicles,” said Cedar City Fire Chief Mike Phillips. “We were able to stop it before it got to the storefront.”

The Fire Marshall was scheduled to look into the cause of the fire Tuesday morning. The exact monetary amount of damages is yet to be released.
