CEDAR CITY, Utah, Jan. 5, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — It is being reported that a 14-year-old boy in Southern Utah has been arrested on suspicion of sexually abusing a 3-year-old last month.
According to the Spectrum of St. George, Cedar City Police Sgt. Jerry Womack said the teen was arrested Tuesday and his case was referred to juvenile court.
Womack reportedly told the Spectrum that police believe the younger child was assaulted by the teen, who is a relative, in a home in early December. Womack said state child welfare officials are involved and a plan is in place to keep the youth and the toddler from having any further contact while the case is still open.
