Chris Stapleton confirms Utah concert tour stop this summer

WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah, Jan. 11, 2025 (Gephardt Daily) — Grammy and CMA winner Chris Stapleton is bringing his soulful country songs to Utah this summer, with an Aug. 15 concert announced at Utah First Credit Union Amphitheatre.

The All-American Road Show continues through October, and is likely to include many of his hits, such as “Fire Away” and “Whiskey and You.”

Stapleton’s Utah concert will feature special guest Marcus King.

Kentucky born Stapleton, 46, moved to Nashville in 1996 to study engineering at Vanderbilt University, but dropped out to pursue a musical career. He co-wrote No. 1 singles for Kenny Chesney, Josh Turner, George Strait, and has credits on albums of Adele and Taylor Swift, according to his Wikipedia biography.

He sang for bluegrass band the SteelDrivers and rock band the Jompson Brothers before debuting as a solo act with his 2015 album, “Traveller,” which was certified quadruple platinum. He has won three Grammys for Best Country album, and 10 Grammys total. Other honors include 11 Academy of Country Music Awards, and 15 Country Music Association Awards.

He was named the ACM’s Artist-Songwriter of the Decade in September 2019, his biography says. In 2023, Rolling Stone ranked Stapleton at number 170 on its list of the 200 Greatest Singers of All Time.
