City to Host ‘Yappy Hour’ Event for Residents and Their Canines
SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH – July 20, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) – The City’s Parks and Public Lands Division invites the public and their four-footed-friends to unwind after a long day at work for “Yappy Hour” Tuesday, July 21 from 5-9 p.m. at Liberty Park, 600 E. 900 South.
Yappy Hour features an evening of live music, delicious food and refreshing drinks at Liberty Park for residents to enjoy while relaxing with their canine family members and neighbors.
Salt Lake City Parks & Public Lands is hosting this free evening with sponsors from Millcreek FIDOS, Barley’s Canine Recreation Center, Best Friends Animal Society, Salt Lake County Animal Services, Paw Tree, Paw Paws Dog Wash and Boutique, Dirty Johnson’s Dog Wash, Grooming, Pet Sitting and The Dog’s Meow. An off-leash area in the east side of the park will be available for canine friends to stretch their legs. Live classic rock-n-roll music will be provided by Utah’s own Auld’sKool.
There will be food from Melty Way and beverages by Bohemian Brewing Company, available for purchase on site. An ID is required (21 and over) to purchase alcohol. Outside food, alcohol and coolers are prohibited.
The last “Yappy Hour” and “Cruise Night” event of the year will be held Thursday, September 10 in Pioneer Park. “Cruise Nights” will have an additional event on Monday, August 10 in Pioneer Park.
