CLEARFIELD, Utah, Oct. 25, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — Clearfield police have three out of four suspects in custody after a robbery earlier this month in which two guns were stolen.

Now, police are asking the public’s help in identifying the fourth suspect, whose name is not known, but whose image was captured on surveillance during the Oct. 10 robbery of Instant Cash and Loan, 437 N. Main St.

In custody are Alex Chavez, 19, Gabriel Rivas, 18, and a third male who is a juvenile, so his name and age will not be released.

“Four males entered the business and began looking at items inside the store,” the CPD police statement issued after the robbery says. “One male pawned a chain saw while the other three males remained in the store looking at the displayed firearms. While the employee was assisting the male pawning the chain saw, another male reached around the counter and (took and) concealed a handgun. Shortly thereafter, a male grabbed a rifle and concealed it in his clothing.”

Clearfield police say the males got away with a Bushmaster M4 .22 caliber rifle and a Springfield XDM .40 caliber handgun.

The Clearfield Police Department asks that anyone with information about the fourth suspect dial 911 or contact the CPD at 801-525-2806.
