Clearfield Youth Counselor Charged With Possession Of Child Pornography

OGDEN, Utah, May 5, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — A youth counselor working in Clearfield was charged Wednesday with possessing child pornography and growing marijuana.

Skyler Eugene Hartsough, 26, of Ogden, was charged in 2nd District Court with 20 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, a second-degree felony.

Hartsough worked at Youth Health Associates, a group home for adolescent boys, located in Clearfield. He was fired after his arrest.

In addition, Hartsough was charged with cultivation of marijuana and with possession of a firearm by a restricted person, both third degree felonies; and with possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia, both class B misdemeanors.

A search warrant was obtained for Hartsough’s residence, near 3200 Jefferson Ave. Officers located 10 marijuana plants in the basement, drug paraphernalia, and electronic devices containing images and video of child pornography, according to charging documents.
