LAS VEGAS, Jan. 8, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — Cliven Bundy, the Nevada rancher charged with leading an armed uprising against federal authorities during a standoff with the BLM in 2014 is a free man.
The decision was handed down Monday morning in federal district court in Las Vegas by Chief U.S. District Judge Gloria Navarro.
The case against Bundy, 71, and four other defendants, including his sons Ammon and Ryan, was declared a mistrial in December, after Judge Navarro determined federal prosecutors had withheld massive amounts of exculpatory evidence from the defense.
Federal prosecutors had asked the judge to grant a new trial in the case, maintaining the defense miscues were unintentional and did not impact the case against the Bundys and their fellow defendants.
The judge however ruled for the defense, dismissing the case with prejudice, meaning it can never be retried.
Within two hours of the decision an emotional Cliven Bundy, with wife Carol and other family members by his side, walked out the doors of the federal courthouse a free man. A crowd of about 100 supporters cheered, as a visibly relieved Bundy waved his iconic cowboy hat in recognition of the crowd.

How many you say we’re there? About 100? I heard from strait from John Lamb,and Kelly Stewart who have been there from the start of the trial, that there were around twice that many.
