SOUTH SALT LAKE, Utah, Oct. 24, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — A South Salt Lake mother is facing charges of third-degree felony child endangerment after police said she allowed her 15-year-old daughter to consume cocaine and marijuana on two separate occasions.

Angela Ann Delobel was taken into custody Friday night, according to a probable cause statement from the Salt Lake County Sheriff’s Office.

The statement said officers responded to Delobel’s residence in South Salt Lake on a report of drugs possibly being consumed at the location.

Officers made contact with the suspect, Delobel, and she invited officers into her home.

Her 15-year-old daughter had been visiting her biological mother, Delobel, for five days, and on Thursday and Friday, the teenager consumed cocaine and marijuana, the statement said. The daughter usually lives with an adoptive or foster family, police said.

“Angela, who was present on both instances, allowed the drug abuse to occur and also participated in the act,” the probable cause statement said. “Three other adults and three younger children were also present. The other adults also participated in the act but the children did not.”

The 15-year-old complained of not feeling well and was possibly overdosing, the statement said. She was taken to an area hospital in stable condition.

The mother and the other adults may be facing additional charges, police said.

Gephardt Daily will have more on this developing story as information becomes available.
