SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, Nov. 28, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — A collision between a passenger vehicle and a UDOT Incident Management truck State Route 201 at 5000 West on Thursday night.
The Utah Department of Transportation first tweeted about the incident at 9:34 p.m., saying the roadway would not be clear for at least an hour.
According to reports from the scene, officers administered a sobriety test to one person, then put him into a patrol car.
Police updates indicate the driver who hit the UDOT truck and another vehicle was arrested, and that the UDOT truck driver was unhurt. The driver of the second vehicle hit suffered minor injuries.
Police have not released the name of the driver who initiated the accident, but have said black ice and intoxication were likely factors.
