Cottonwood Heights PD seeks information about theft, fraud suspect

COTTONWOOD HEIGHTS, Utah, Jan. 26, 2025 (Gephardt Daily) — Police in Cottonwood Heights are asking for help identifying a man wanted in connection with a wallet theft case and a subsequent credit card fraud.

The wallet was stolen from Cottonwood Heights Recreation Center on Jan. 12, and credit cards from the wallet were illegally used immediately after to make purchases at Fashion Place Mall.

“The suspect wore a facemask throughout the offense, but appears to be a White or Hispanic male in his 20s to 30s with short brown or black hair,” a news release from police says.

“The vehicle is gray or bluish-gray third generation (2008-2014) Subaru Impreza sedan, unknown plate, with tinted window and possibly aftermarket wheels.
