MILLCREEK, Utah, Dec. 20, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — Crews battled a blaze at a garage in Millcreek Thursday that also damaged two homes.

The incident occurred in the area of 2455 E. 3658 South at approximately 1 p.m., according to Sgt. Nicholas Roberts, Unified Police Department.

“We have two vehicles that are a loss right now, as well as the garage structure,” Roberts said.

He said two houses in close proximity were also damaged, as the fire spread to the back of the residences, butĀ Unified Fire Authority crews got to the scene within two minutes and were able to knock down the fire quickly.

Roberts said one of the homeowners, who is older, was evacuated, as were pets in the homes.

There were no injuries to the homeowners or their pets, or to firefighters.

“We moved some people back, set up an outer perimeter, so we kept people safe, because of items that were going pop around here, that were in the garage,” Roberts said. “Right now we do have it fully contained.”

At this time, there is no exact estimate of the damages.

Gephardt Daily will have more on this developing story as information is made available.
