OGDEN, Utah, Nov. 12, 2021 (Gephardt Daily) — Crews battled a blaze at a residence in Ogden Thursday night.
“At approximately 11:10 p.m., fire crews were dispatched on reports of a structure fire on the 127 block of 9th Street in Ogden,” said a news release from Ogden Fire Department. “Fire units arrived on the scene to find a single-family dwelling with smoke and fire coming out of one side of the structure. Firefighters began fighting the fire from a window as a crew made entry to perform a search. Crews cleared the home and found nobody inside, at the same time crews found the seat of the fire and extinguished it.”
Two individuals were displaced and the Red Cross is assisting them.
Firefighters from Ogden and Weber Fire responded to extinguish the fire, with a total of 19 firefighters, one ladder truck, three engines, an ambulance, a paramedic unit, and the battalion chief.
No injuries were associated with this incident.
An investigation into the cause of the blaze is underway.
The building sustained estimated damage of $40,000.
