Crews battle grass fire in Magna caused by crash on I-80

MAGNA, Utah, July 30, 2021 (Gephardt Daily) — Crews battled a grass fire in Magna Thursday early evening caused by a crash on Interstate 80.

“Unified Fire and Salt Lake City Fire Department crews are currently fighting a two-acre grass fire at 10462 W. I-80 westbound,” said a tweet from Unified Fire Authority at 6 p.m.

Westbound traffic was reduced to a single lane.

The fire took approximately five minutes to bring under control.

No injuries were reported.
