SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, July 22, 2020 (Gephardt Daily) — Crews battled a trash fire at the Salt Lake County landfill early Wednesday morning.
A tweet from Salt Lake City Fire Department at 4 a.m. said the fire, in the area of 6400 W. California Ave., was under control.
“Personnel are working with fire apparatus and heavy machinery to mop up subsurface fire areas,” the tweet said. “Work will continue throughout the day.”
No one was injured as a result of the fire.
The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
