SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, Aug. 5, 2020 (Gephardt Daily) — Crews are battling a 3-alarm structure fire in Salt Lake City Wednesday afternoon.

Salt Lake City Fire Department Battalion Chief Ryan Mellor told Gephardt Daily the incident is in the area of 2100 S. 4970 West.

The business at that address is Utility Trailer of Utah, but it’s not clear at this stage if that is the building that is on fire and whether it is the only structure that is affected.

Mellor said five engines and two ladder trucks are responding.

A tweet from SLCFD said no one was injured as a result of the fire.

The cause of the blaze is not yet known.

Gephardt Daily has a crew on the way to the scene and will have more on this developing story as information is provided.
