Crews on scene of lightning-sparked brush fire in Davis County

DAVIS COUNTY, Utah, July 10, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — Several agencies responded to a grass/brush fire in Layton on Tuesday night.

Layton Fire Department tweeted that the lightning-caused fire started just after 8:30 p.m. and has burned approximately 75 acres.

No structures are threatened.

“Due to location & access issues the decision has been made to make limited engagement until morning,” LFD tweeted.

Units from Kaysville and Syracuse fire departments also are on scene, as well as North Davis Fire District, and Utah Division of Forestry, Fire and State Lands.
