DAVIS COUNTY, Utah, July 31, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — A motorcyclist was rescued Tuesday morning after getting stuck overnight on a trail in Davis County, officials said.

Davis County Sheriff’s Office officials said the man got stuck at the top of the Davis Creek Trail in Farmington, after he was riding with a friend and they decided to go in different directions.

He was able to call a family member at approximately 9 p.m. and tell them he was stuck and give his GPS coordinates before his phone died, officials said.

The man’s family then called authorities in the early hours of Tuesday morning. Officials quickly located the man from the coordinates he had given the family member.

The Utah Department of Public Safety helicopter then flew the man from the trail Tuesday morning. He was reunited with family members and did not need to be transported to hospital.
