DAVIS COUNTY, Utah, Jan. 14, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — Davis County officials are asking for the public’s help identifying and locating three suspects who allegedly stole a victim’s purse then used the credit cards to buy items from multiple stores and fill their cars with gas.

“Can you recognize these vehicles or the two individuals bundled up trying to disguise themselves?,” the Davis County Sheriff’s Office said in a Facebook post. “On New Year’s Day, Syracuse Police had an auto burglary where the suspects had stolen the victim’s purse.

“The suspects then went to Walmart, in Layton and Syracuse, and used the victim’s credit cards. The suspects also used the stolen credit cards at Smith’s, in Layton.”

Officials say the three suspects also pulled up to gas pumps while in West Point and filled their vehicles up with gas, the post said.

“You will see several pictures below of the three suspect vehicles,” the post goes on. “The silver van has two large stickers in the rear window which could help identify it.”

Police also shared surveillance photos of two of the suspects. The female suspect is shown wearing an oversize green jacket and tan pants, while the male suspect is shown wearing a gray hoodie with a black baseball cap underneath and a black and white plaid shirt over the top. Detectives did not share a photo of the third suspect.

“Thank you in advance for sharing this information,” the post said. “Teamwork is our best ally in these cases and our citizens never disappoint!”
