JUAB COUNTY, Utah, May 19, 2021 (Gephardt Daily) — Interstate 15 is shut down in both directions in Juab County due to a police incident Wednesday afternoon.
A tweet from Utah Highway Patrol said the incident is unfolding between mile markers 200 and 202.
The Utah Department of Transportation tweeted at 4:50 p.m.: “Driver Alert: NB I-15 is closed at mile post 188 in Scipio due to a police incident. SB I-15 is now closed at mile post 207 near Chicken Creek Reservoir. Expect major delays in the area.”
Initial reports indicate shots may have been fired by a suspect and an armored vehicle is on scene, as well as an AirMed medical helicopter.
