SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH – October 15, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) – Police have identified the body of a man found Wednesday morning next to the I-15 Northbound on-ramp at 3300 South.
South Salt Lake spokesperson Gary Keller said dispatchers received calls around 4:45 a.m. on reports of a man in the road.
When officers arrived they found Jeffrey Scott Keenan, 37, of West Jordan deceased. They say he appeared to have suffered traumatic injuries. “The victim’s injuries to his face appear to be a ground level fall that resulted in laceration to his chin, fractured jaw and abrasions to the forearms,” said keller. “The Medical Examiner’s Office is awaiting Drug and Alcohol Toxicology lab results.”
Keller said that it is really hard to tell how he died so they will have to wait until the autopsy has been completed. “It is considered a suspicious death only because we currently are unsure how his body got there and how he died,” said Keller.
