HURRICANE, Utah, Nov. 14, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — Hurricane City officials are warning residents that Dominion Energy is planning blasts on State Route 9 in order to move a gas line this month and next.

The line will be moved along along SR-9 between 3700 West and 2600 West between Nov. 14 and Dec. 10, said a Facebook post from Hurricane City Police Department Thursday afternoon.

“They will need to blast in order to put in the new gas line,” the post said. “When they blast, they will have to close SR-9 in both directions. They are anticipating it taking 10 to 15 minutes to blast and make sure the road is clear. Then they will open the road back up.”

Dominion Energy will need to do this approximately 10 times during this time frame, but they do not know the exact days, and it will be between the hours of 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Gephardt Daily will have more on this developing story as information is released.
