IRON COUNTY, Utah, Aug. 3, 2021 (Gephardt Daily) — A semi truck driver is seriously injured but lucky to be alive, judging by a dramatic video released Tuesday morning by the Utah Highway Patrol.
“This morning a semi ran off the road going over the barrier on I-15 NB at milepost 71, the driver was luckily wearing his seat belt!,” the post says.
“Driver was able to get himself out before the cab became fully engulfed, the driver was transported to an area hospital with serious injuries.”
The semi truck was hauling general products.
I-15 exit 71 is at Summit, in Iron County. Summit is 13 miles northeast of Cedar City on the interstate, and 9 miles southwest of Parowan.
