Police searching for suspect after stabbing at Draper gas station

DRAPER, Utah, June 11, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — Police are searching for a suspect who allegedly stabbed another man outside a Draper gas station in the early hours of Monday.

Draper City Police officials said the incident occurred at the Maverik at 14814 S. Minuteman Drive (100 West) at approximately 2:20 a.m.

Officials said that two men from the Ogden area pulled up at the gas station. One went inside and the other stayed in the car.

The man in the car was stabbed while the other man was inside the gas station.

The injured man was transported to an area hospital by ground ambulance in serious condition.

Officials have not yet said what the sequence of events was that led up to the stabbing. They believe the suspect was known to the victim, but they have not said exactly what their relationship was.

The suspect is described as Caucasian, in his 20s, with long blond hair. Police said he got into a black Mitsubishi Galant with two other men. It’s not known in what direction they fled.
