SUMMIT COUNTY, Utah Aug. 8, 2024 (Gephardt Daily) — The driver pulled from a burning car is in critical condition after a crash on I-80.
The crash came Thursday morning just before 10 a.m. in Lamb’s Canyon according to the Utah Highway Patrol.
“A single passenger vehicle impacted the crash attenuator (cushioned guard rail abutment) on the south edge of the roadway and subsequently rolled.”
The car then caught on fire and burned, according to a press release.
“The driver and only occupant of the vehicle was pulled from the car by a motorist who witnessed the crash.”
The driver was transported in critical condition. Troopers are investigating to see if impairment was a factor.
