SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, June 10, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — A northbound driver on Interstate 15 was critically injured early Saturday morning in a crash near 9600 South.
Investigators on scene told Gephardt Daily the man appeared to roll his car after hitting a large sign at the side of the highway.
When first responders arrived they found the man “unconscious, but breathing” while pinned inside his vehicle.
After a 40 minute struggle, firefighters freed the man who was then rushed by ground ambulance to an area hospital.
UHP troopers have yet to determine why the man lost control of his vehicle. Their investigation is ongoing.
