BOX ELDER COUNTY, Utah, Sept. 9, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — One man was killed in a rollover accident Saturday in Box Elder County.

At 7:22 a.m., a 1996 Red Chevrolet 2500 pickup truck was eastbound on State Route 30, near milepost 101, according to information from the Utah Highway Patrol.

The truck went off the right side of the road then overcorrected, spinning sideways. The pickup then came back on the road and went across the eastbound and westbound lanes and off the left shoulder.

The truck then hit a fence and rolled, and the driver and sole occupant, who was not wearing his seat belt, was ejected.

CPR was attempted but the driver could not be saved. It appears that excessive speed was a contributing factor in the crash.

The driver was identified as Earl V. Anderson, a 67-year-old man from Fielding.
