SOUTH SALT LAKE, May 2, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — The driver of a semi hauling gravel is in critical condition after he crashed his truck into a barrier at about 2700 South on Interstate 15 in South Salt Lake on Thursday.
“We are on scene of an incident at 2700 S I-15 SB,” said a 1 p.m. tweet from the Utah Highway Patrol. “A semi driver suffered a medical incident, citizens pulled him out of the semi and began CPR until EMTs arrived. The truck, hauling gravel, drove up onto the right side barrier where it came to a stop.
“SB I-15 is down to 2 lanes while crews contain a fuel spill from the semi. The driver was taken to the hospital in critical condition.”
