CARBON COUNTY, Utah, Jan. 22, 2025 (Gephardt Daily) — A patient was rescued Tuesday from Eccles Canyon after Helper City Fire, Utah Highway Patrol and Carbon County Ambulance crews responded to a collision.

“Upon arrival, troopers had the patient out of the vehicle,” says a Helper Fire Department news release.

“HFD placed the patient on a basket stretcher and with the help of all agencies on scene was able to extract the patient from a 100 drop off through the snow to the awaiting ambulance. Patient information will not be released.

“Thank you to all responders for another collaborative effort within a few short miles of the last similar incident. HFD wants to remind those traveling especially in remote areas to drive with care and be prepared with cold weather gear, food, and water.
