Drivers being urged to avoid area of natural gas leak in Salt Lake City

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, March 12, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — Drivers are being urged to avoid the area of a natural gas leak in Salt Lake City Tuesday afternoon.

The Salt Lake City Fire Department tweeted at 4:30 p.m. the leak is in the area of 2100 S. 2150 East.

“Traffic is being blocked in both directions from 2100 East to 2200 East on 2100 South,” a follow up tweet said.

At 5:30 p.m., the SLCFD tweeted: “Dominion is on scene and working to shut the affected gas line off and identify where the leak is in order to begin repairs.”
