Elderly Idaho Falls Couple Killed In Box Elder CrashÂ
BOX ELDER, UTAH – July 8, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) — An elderly Idaho Falls couple was killed in a Box Elder County traffic accident Wednesday afternoon.
According to the Utah Highway Patrol, the couple was heading northbound on I-15 just outside of Plymouth when the SUV they were in drifted into the median and drove more than three hundred yards before flying off an overpass and into a retaining wall below.
The victims have been identified as Thora B. Willis, 84, and her husband, Ronald B. Willis, 88.
Investigators say Ronald Willis died at the scene. Thora Willis passed away after being taken to Bear River Valley Hospital.
The Utah Highway Patrol stated that both passengers were wearing their seat belts. They are also looking at possible medical issue for the cause of the crash.
