Emergency crews, LifeFlight respond to critical injury accident on I-15 in Washington County

WASHINGTON COUNTY, Utah, Oct. 4, 2024 (Gephardt Daily) — One patient was airlifted Thursday afternoon after a vehicle accident at about 5 p.m. in Washington County.

“Units were dispatched to a vehicle accident at mile marker 31 northbound on I-15,” says a statement issued by Hurricane Valley Fire & Rescue.

“Due to the mechanism of injury and distance, LifeFlight was dispatched to the incident. Our medical crews arrived on scene and were able to initiate treatment. One patient was transported via LifeFlight to St. George Regional Hospital.”

The Utah Highway Patrol and Washington County Sheriff’s Office also responded to the scene. No patient information was shared.
