OREM, Utah, Feb. 11, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — Police arrested a man early Saturday morning after they say he used an empty vodka bottle to break into the Orem Public Safety Building, then meditated until officers arrived.

Siosifa Lolohea is facing charges of criminal mischief, criminal trespass with knowingly unlawful entry and possession or use of a controlled substance, the Orem Police Department said in a Facebook post.

Lolohea threw an empty vodka bottle through the front glass door of the Orem Public Safety Building, at 95 Center St., police said.

The Orem Police Department, which has become renowned for its humorously written Facebook posts, said: “A man decided that after a few bottles of vodka, he needed a place to meditate and find Jesus. What better place then OPD. When he got to our office, he was bummed that the front doors were closed and nobody was home. Instead of looking for a different place to get in his ‘Zen Zone’ he decided to use one of the bottles of the aforementioned vodka to break out our front lobby doors. We find him, sitting criss cross applesauce in the middle of our lobby. We ended up finding him a super quiet, super zen place, with calming music, incense, a doTerra lotus diffuser, tax payer paid for meals and a nice comfy bed to meditate in.”

The man suffered a cut on his hand from the broken glass of the door, but there were no other injuries in the course of the incident.

The Facebook post did not say why the man decided to meditate in the public safety building.
