September 3, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) – A man wanted on felony warrants for burglary and armed robbery was arrested late Thursday afternoon after a day long cat-and-mouse game with Unified Police.

According to UPD Detective Jared Richardson, police dispatchers received word from a Herriman couple around 2:30 p.m. that the wanted man was directing threats at them and was on his way to their residence.

Unified police officers were dispatched to the area and soon saw a car matching the description of the suspect’s vehicle.

Police set up containment perimeters in three different locations, starting at 11900 South and 4600 West. They say the suspect abandoned his car before winding his way through several neighborhoods by climbing fences and running through backyards.

A tip from a neighbor brought police to 11700 South and 4400 West just before 6 p.m.

A K-9 officer sent into the area and found the suspect hiding in a window well.

The suspect was taken into custody after a brief confrontation with arresting officers.

He was expected to be booked into the Salt Lake County Metro Jail.
