Family dog perishes in Salt Lake City house fire

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, April 19, 2021 (Gephardt Daily) — A family dog perished in a house fire in Salt Lake City on Monday afternoon.

“At 1:30 p.m., Salt Lake City Fire crews responded to a house fire at 278 Quince St.,” said a tweet from SLCFD. “Heavy smoke and flames were quickly extinguished. Sadly, crews found that the family dog perished in the fire.”

There were no injuries to residents or firefighters, the tweet said.

The tweet added there was significant fire damage to the main floor; officials did not give the exact extent of damages to the home.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
