SALT LAKE COUNTY, UTAH – June 29, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) — As the temperature rises outside, many homebound seniors are struggling to keep cool in houses not equipped with fans or air conditioning.

Each year, citizens from throughout Salt Lake County respond to this need by donating new fans to help keep frail, elderly neighbors comfortable during the peak of summer heat.

Salt Lake County Aging & Adult Services is asking for donations of new fans to help keep homebound seniors cool, healthy and comfortable as temperatures are expected to exceed 90 degrees for the upcoming weeks of summer.

These fans will be distributed to homebound seniors in need in conjunction to the Meals on Wheels Program.

Fans can be brought to our headquarters at the Salt Lake County Government Center, 2001 South State Street, S1-600 Salt Lake City, Utah 84190 or to any of our Senior Centers in Salt Lake County. For information on the center nearest you, call us at 385.468.3200 or for a complete list of locations visit slco.org/aging-adult-services/senior-centers
