FARMINGTON, Utah, June 4, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — A Farmington police officer went above and beyond the call of duty when he changed an infant’s diaper on a FrontRunner platform during a 911 call.

“The other day our deputies responded with Utah Transit Authority officers and Farmington PD to the Station Park FrontRunner platform,” Davis County Sheriff’s Office posted on Facebook. “Officers assisted a mentally challenged female who was having an episode while with her infant.”

Farmington Officer Ballard noticed the infant was soiled and not cared for, the post said.

“Officer Ballard took the time to clean up and change the infant’s soiled diaper,” the news release goes on. “Officer Ballard, you are an inspiration. Thanks for your kindness and compassion.”

The Facebook post has a string of comments, including: “Real men can change a diaper,” and “That’s a man with some pretty great priorities … and a good heart! Respect.”
