OGDEN, Utah, Dec. 28, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — A fire at an Ogden dog food plant forced about 200 employees to evacuate and caused an estimated $300,000 in damage.

The business, American Nutrition, was reported to be on fire at about noon on Tuesday, according to tweets from the Ogden Fire Department. Crews responded to the scene, at  133 W. 28th St.

The fire was put out, and investigators determined the flames were contained to an odor-scrubber system, which is used to decrease the dog food smell in the surrounding area. The filtration system was mounted to the building’s exterior.

No one was reported injured in the fire.
