SUMMIT COUNTY, Nov. 26, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — Firefighters in Summit County are conducting debris pile burns today, Tuesday, in areas of Alpine Acres Holiday Park and Summit Park.

Officials are alerting people who see the planned burns or the resulting smoke not to be alarmed.

“With over 750 piles to burn through this work will help to reduce hazardous fuels, improve forest health and reduce wildlife risk,” a tweeted statement from officials says.

“If you see smoke, do not report.”
