SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, June 12, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — Salt Lake City firefighters are on the scene of a single-alarm structure fire on Redwood Road.

Crews were first called to 50 S. Redwood Road shortly before 9 a.m. Wednesday, Salt Lake City Fire Captain Adam Archuleta told Gephardt Daily. Multiple callers reported a fire at Diamond Self Storage, Archuleta said.

The blaze began inside a storage unit and the contents of that unit were damaged, along with that unit itself. A total of three other adjacent storage areas sustained smoke damage.

No one was injured as a result of the incident, Archuleta said.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

At this early stage there is no exact estimate of the damages caused.

Gephardt Daily will have more on this developing story as information is made available.
