Flash flood warning issued for parts of Emery County Wednesday afternoon

EMERY COUNTY, Utah, July 28, 2021 (Gephardt Daily) — A flash flood warning has been issued for parts of Emery County Wednesday afternoon.

“Flash flooding likely until 5:15 p.m. in Lupacchiotta Canyon south of I-70 between mile markers 117 and 125; potential additional heavy rainfall in Forgotten and Eagle Canyons north of I-70,” said a tweet from National Weather Service Salt Lake City.

Residents are urged to avoid walking or driving through flood waters and to move to higher ground if necessary.
