SOUTH SALT LAKE, March 16, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — A 66-year-old woman who walked away from a South Salt Lake care facility Monday was found 24 hours later.
Diana Starzel left the Little Cottonwood Rehab Nursing Center, at 3094 S. State Street, at about noon on Monday, according to South Salt Lake police public information officer Gary Keller.
The care center alerted police to Starzel’s disappearance at approximately 10:30 p.m., when she could not be located.
She was found in Midvale at about 3 p.m. Tuesday.
A press release from South Salt Lake Police said: “Diana Starzel was found safe and well and did not wish to return to the care facility.”
Keller said police issued an endangered missing advisory due to the cold weather, Starzel’s age, mental health issues and substance disorders.
